The two all-purpose verbs: pick the right one
I did my homework and then made dinner.
Try not to make the same mistake twice.Each gap needs one of the two verbs shown in the model sentences. Choose the right one for the collocation and put it in the correct form for the time and subject of the sentence.

5. makesItems 1 and 3 describe tasks or activities, so they use the activity verb. Items 2, 4 and 5 describe creating or producing something, so they use the production verb. Also check the form: items 2 and 5 need the third-person present ending, and items 3 and 4 need the past form.
